BEC Constructon

We started on site for our third project with English Rural housing association in 2021, with the project value of  £1.5 Million and is located in Herne hill Faversham.

This project consisted of the construction of 6 timber framed houses that were In the affordable rent scheme and 2 that were open market.

All properties were fitted with new kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and built in storage space.

Alongside the construction of the new build homes we also completed associated external works, soft landscaping, fencing and drainage including forming new access road onto the development from the highway.

The previous two projects we completed for English Rural, also consisted of 8 new build homes at each plot so in total we have provided 24 new build homes in Hernehill, Staple and Throwley.

“BEC Construction completed our developments from 2019- 2022. They comprise of 6x houses for affordable rent and 2x open market houses/bungalows. As with many rural exception sites, these were challenging, exposed sites in areas of outstanding beauty.

Our developments are built on sensitive sites and have often been the subject of local opposition during the planning process. BEC forged good relationships with the local community during construction periods, which enabled the building work to progress smoothly. BEC ensured that any issues or concerns were resolved quickly to the satisfaction of all parties.  We had no non-conformity issues and the health and safety standards were high.

The build programme proceeded well across all sites, despite some appalling weather conditions and unavoidable disruptions due to the pandemic . The quality of the builds are excellent and the standard of the finished homes are high. The developments have received praise from local parish councils and the new residents are all delighted with their homes.”
